The reason people say school doesn't teach you what you need to know is because it doesn't teach you business.

Teaching business I would categorize in finding markets and then where the money flows. Money flows is anything in the range of making money so services, products, ect. Markets would be where you would make your money. So you can teach selling courses online or teach in the education system. Two different markets same thing.

Studying is simply the act of learning something new and as long as its a useful monetizable skill that you can use to make money, today, then its not nerdy at all. You must learn all these new modern skills today in order to get paid (for instance marketing, you still need to know it well, for now, because no one has yet developed an AI that will do it automatically and flawlessly, ect, and at that point it will be AI development that will be the next new monetizable skill to learn, ect ect)

As they say Wise men realize how much they don't know (and how much is left to yet learn) learning is a never ending process in life and you will do it until the day you die, and you will like it. The only reason why you don't, is because of school. Which only goes to show how bad the education system has to be
