A Portuguese, an Irishman, and a Mexican were working on the construction of a building. Lunchtime came, and they all ran to open their lunch boxes. Suddenly, the Irishman exclaimed, "steak with onios again! If I open this damn lunch box tomorrow and it's steak with onions again, I'll jump off this building!" The Mexican opened his lunch box and said, "Burritos again? If I open my lunch tomorrow and it's burritos again, I'll jump too!" The Portuguese opened his lunch box and said, "Sardine sandwich again? If I open my lunch box tomorrow and it's sardine sandwich, I'll jump too!" The next day at lunchtime, the three of them ran to open their lunch boxes. The Irishman opened his and once again it was steak with onions. He didn't waste any time and jumped off the building. The Mexican opened his lunch box and found burritos again, and he too jumped off the building. It was the Portuguese's turn, and he opened his lunch box to find another sardine sandwich. The Portuguese jumped off the building as well. At the funeral, no one could console the widows. The Irishman's wife cried and exclaimed, "I didn't know he hated steak with onions so much. If I had known, I could have made meatballs!" And the Mexican's wife said, "I could have made tacos!" When everyone looked at the Portuguese's wife, she said, "Hey, don't look at me, he always made his own lunch box."
