Sometimes civilizational collapse isn't always an apocalypse. Sometimes its a positive change in which an old failing system is replaced by a more efficient one with a new cultural paradigm. An example of this is the meiji restoration, in which a decadent and corrupt society based on feudalism "collapsed" and was replaced by one based on industry.

Maybe the next civilizational collapse will be like that. I am an optimist tbh. The world really needs an "honorable restoration" right now.
