That’s possible, but that’s really just a guessing game. Because it can cause small damages to the gametes so even more normal looking sperm isn’t what it was originally.

Sperm cycle is 3 months. If you stop for a while, your balls should make healthy sperm with no fin again. Unless there’s actual epigenetic changes.

I think FSH or HCG would sort out any issues after stopping. Your balls are only ever permanently damaged with cancer, or trauma

That’s true but we don’t fully know as there hasn’t been enough research done. Clearly something went wrong here both times.
