[Verse]
In a sleepy little town, there was a man named Schery6
With a face so unfortunate, people couldn't help but stare
He walked the streets alone, with a heavy burden on his back
Little did he know, his fate was drawing near
[Verse 2]
One fateful day, a train came rumbling through
Schery6 stood on the tracks, lost in his own world
The engineer blew the whistle, but Schery6 didn't hear a sound
And in an instant, his life was unfurled
[Chorus]
Oh Schery6, you were a gentle soul
Lost in a world that couldn't understand
But now you're gone, forever in our hearts
The train took your life, but your spirit still stands
Whoever says that all music is prohibited, let him also claim that the songs of birds are prohibited.haram music kaffir

Music with lyrics and that is too melodic is definitely haramWhoever says that all music is prohibited, let him also claim that the songs of birds are prohibited.
Lmao who says this? It's an ikhtilahf issue. That's not to say 99% of the western music technically is. Even salafi scholars like Yusuf al Qardawi allow music of various kinds.Music with lyrics and that is too melodic is definitely haram

I go by hanafi school of thought and based on urf melodies change your headspace and can make you sad or feel a certain way that is very harmfulLmao who says this? It's an ikhtilahf issue. Urf is just local custom doesn't have universal application. You're from Balkan jfl. They have a history of music and singing.I go by hanafi school of thought and based on urf melodies change your headspace and can make you sad or feel a certain way that is very harmful
Almost all songs put you in some state of nostalgia and longing for something of this material world, causing your mind to drift away from the deen and essence of imam.Urf is just local custom doesn't have universal application. You're from Balkan jfl. They have a history of music and singing.
From my limited readings music isn't prohibited intrinsically, but because of the harmful consequences it produces i.e. accompanied by sexual, drugs etc. That's not to say it can have a harmful impact even if it has a 'good' message. Too much of anything is bad, even water.

Techno or classical music for example is the only genres which intuitively seem safe because of the lack of lyrics and just upbeat energizing mood they give, examples:
I actually listen to modern variants of music like this including videogame OSTs. Idk if it sometimes qualifies as making me sad. This definitely does
There was a good example of what istihsan was when I was reading about the shari'ah but basically using 'common sense'. Like in the case of fasting, there might be no evidence, analogy or other juristic means to say someone who forgets they're fasting and eats/drinks breaks their fast. But literally every scholar uses istihsan to say eating while forgetting you're fasting does not constitute as breaking ones fast.Well it depends i guess on the reason it makes you sad. Also i confused urf with istihsan
But its only Hanafis who actually have istihsan as a concept and maybe shafis. How fo Hanbalis and Malikis cope with this? There was a good example of what istihsan was when I was reading about the shari'ah but basically using 'common sense'. They do use it even if it's not their preferred mode of using it.But its only Hanafis who actually have istihsan as a concept and maybe shafis. How fo Hanbalis and Malikis cope with this?
