It's all about putting as much weight on the bar as possible, with zero regard for anything else.

You end up compromising leanness and an aesthetic physique for leverages.

You end up compromising your hairline and collagen for steroids.

any sort of hobby that is centered around "self improvement" is inherently an incel/subhuman hobby

haha I thought about it a few days ago. 100% guys who stand in the squad for an hour to do 3 sets look like the guy on the right

When I first started gymmaxing, I started with a strength program, its great for beginners, but if you stick with it too long, you will become an unaesthetic fucking t-Rex.

Switched to PPL for a year or two, got great gains(especially shoulders), but it gets boring, 1-2h workouts.

have been doing ring calisthenics for the past 6months and Ive had the most aesthetics gains, arms/back/shoulders/forearms.

It is hard to put in enough arm/forearm work in a PPL program unless you want to be in the gym for 2h, which is why i love calisthenics now.
The workouts start to finish are rarely longer than 1,5h and you can do it anywhere you can hang the rings.

CALISTHENICS IS THE WAY TO GO BRAHS

Disagree, I'm a decent powerlifter with a good body

I think this applies the most to old school powerlifters, nowadays most powerlifters in light/middle weight classes have great bodies.

Key word, competitive. You need as much muscle as possible in your weight class as possible to become a competitive in the first place.

Most skinnyfat dudes jumping into powerlifting become obsessed with the mentality of chasing weight and end up bulking to disgusting levels.
