Many people who affiliate with religion do this too. Degeneracy is intrinsic to all human beings. This is the sign of a decaying society.
Ppl will drink alcohol for pleasure. Turn themselves into a useless drunkard from a young age. Even teenagers intentionally drink alcohol by the bottle and think this pleasure “takes the pain away” or “makes things feel good”.
Theyll smoke some weed, pop some xanax, do any drug that they see fit. Just to get that rush of pleasure. They looksmin themselves into oblivion and ruin themselves from the inside out, for a few moments of self pleasure. They eventually become dependant on these drugs. They maintain they are not addicted, but they burn through cash for the next experience and do not go without it. They delude themselves because pleasure has taken over their brains.
Have a bankrupt moral system of self gain. Will virtue signal about how things need to change, about how things are out of order, all for pleasure. A shot of dopamine in their heads which makes them feel confident and reassured of themselves. A metaphorical pat on the back.
But when they see a beggar? No response. No look, no care. Most ppl don’t care. Because most ppl aren’t righteous, regardless of their religion. They claim to be righteous, but fail to act when necessary.
They take hundreds of pics, literally hundreds, all from different angles, so that they can post the “perfect shot”. So that they can get the maximum shot of pleasure possible. They put down others on social media, directly or indirectly. And say it’s a joke, a joke which rewarded them handsomely for their efforts. So they feel pleasure, and can’t get enough. So they do it again and again, until that pleasure stops.
When mental illness comes to the front and ppl want to mutilate themselves, think they’re something they’re not and force it onto reality, it’s through pleasure that ppl become morally bankrupt and accept this. Because, after all, “what does it have to do with me?(my system of pleasure)”
Eventually, through desire, ppl have kids. Since this morally corrupt worldview is so common and pervasive, it rots everything in society down to a hypercapitalistic husk of itself. So the kids are raised in a world where again, their pleasures are to be indulged in and accepted. If Stacy wants to get gang banged at 15 by the football team, it’s fair game. And the parents are responsible for her birth control, because it’s her choice and her indulgences. If chad wants to start his journey into substance abuse during his teens, it’s ok. Because he should indulge in drugs to “experiment”.
The point is that hedonism corrupts everything around it and is so powerful because of the fact that it’s built partially into the human conscious. It’s a dangerous ideology, that sets up slippery slopes for the acceptance of retarded ideas, such as trannies being seen as NT, or drag queens in schools, or promiscuous behaviour being ok, abortion being fundamentally moral, etc etc. I could go on.
It’s seen as a religion, in a way. People live by it, swear by it, view it as sacred. It builds the entire worldview of a person, it’s built around providing answers for the otherwise unknown, especially in the context of moral issues.
Our society has rotted from The inside out tbh.
