This does debunk a lot of premises in the looksmax community specifically the lookism types that say muh masculinity correlates with attractiveness apparently not.


We need to reevaluate the masculinity copes

Masculinity has very much been wrapped up in heterosexuality and possession of women. These things can be partially claimed by a man through attracting and having sex with women; sexual debut and continually having sex is seen as a claim on manhood. Manhood is also wrapped up in ability and potency. Virginity, then, is associated with failure to "be a man", because by not having had sex (plus the assumption that a man does de facto want sex with women), it shows the virgin as being unable to get women, and therefore he cannot perform and claim that masculinity as well. Insofar as a masculinity is still tied up in heteronormativity, then, we would expect social spaces hosting that kind of masculinity to be belittling of virgins and virginity status.
