I had girls prefer to be with me than my other friends who were 5’11 and 6’1.

5’7 and 5’8 is a huge difference like 5’11 being 6’0.

Where are you from? I live in a Nordic country where the average height for women is about 5´6". Even if you're 5´8" as a man about 1/3 women will still be your height or taller. I always say that face is most important by far – there are a lot of tall ogres lumbering around where I'm from and their 190cm height doesn't ensure them attraction from women – but still you usually need to clear the minimum threshold of 5´8-5´9" as a man to have access to most women, even if you're otherwise facially good-looking.

Anyway, I'd say face is at least twice as important as height. Half of a man's physical attractiveness is based on his face, a quarter his height, a quarter his physique otherwise. I think this formula applies to how most women perceive men.
