there's studies on this, people with overly wide mouths were rated worse than those with overly narrow mouths, but those with slightly bigger mouths better than slightly smaller, with normal scoring the best of all.

but that is in men, in women both overly and slightly larger mouths were rated far worse, so humans in general are better off at either average or slightly below.

how did they even measure how big the mouth was here? mouth to nose? mouth to bigonial width? mouth to ipd? absolute measurement of mouth width?
