Pros:

First of all, we should understand that there is no special reservoir for toxins, which means that your body doesn’t have glands designed to store environmental toxins in the testes or prostate.

Toxic chemicals accumulate in the body’s tissues, especially in fatty tissues, because they are slow to break down and can linger for years. For example, endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals include pesticides, PCBs, BPA, heavy metals, etc.

Briefly, these can disrupt hormone actions in reproductive organs. They enter cells and interfere with hormone signaling, including in the reproductive system.

The most frightening thing is that microplastics, for example, have been found in testicles and in semen.

In theory, ejaculating would protect the prostate by flushing out harmful chemicals. Some studies show that higher ejaculation frequency per month is associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer. This doesn’t necessarily prove much, but it’s an interesting correlation to think about that goes hand in hand with the explanation about endocrine disruptors being in the testicles and semen.

Now, here’s another pro with masturbating that I support: its relaxing benefits. When you get an urge to masturbate, all sorts of hormones flow through you, especially if you are very horny.

Suppressing that extreme urge is not something good for you, especially if you have already not been active in a long time. It can cloud your mind, especially if you eat a lot of processed food, and in general it will be amplified (clouding of mind) if you are unhealthy.

Now, one thing that you should note is that most humans aren’t actually horny anymore; we just masturbate because it has become a habit. This also ties into why I believe that the cons are more severe than the pros.

Cons:

When it comes to BPA, just avoiding touching plastic and reducing your BPA exposure overall will cause your BPA levels to drop in a matter of weeks.

There was a randomized intervention trial measuring actual BPA levels in urine, and it found that people who intentionally reduced BPA exposure had way lower urinary BPA levels in just a few weeks.

PCBs, on the other hand, are a bit trickier since they are organic pollutants that are very stable, accumulate in body fat, and have long half-lives. They are also lipophilic, which means that once they are stored in fat, they are slow to leave the body naturally.

The only thing that I can think of that would help against this is doing a weight gain and weight loss cycle to remove existing PCBs.

Pesticides are also easy to manage. Don’t consume fruit from supermarkets; always find homegrown or wild fruit. You should also get some high-quality water because pesticide residue is present in tap water in general as well.

As for the actual cons of masturbation, I will bring up three.

First of all, there is the issue of desensitization. This is probably the worst issue to have.

When you masturbate with your hand, your body can regulate the amount of tightness by itself, meaning that as time goes on, your body will press more with the hand and squeeze harder.

This can lead to you damaging yourself and desensitizing yourself. When you have sexual intercourse with a woman, you won’t feel as much pleasure because you’ve desensitized yourself.

The last issue I have with masturbating is that prostate fluid is rich in enzymes, proteins, and minerals that are essential for the protection and nutrition of sperm.

When you masturbate, the prostate pushes prostate fluid into the urethra, where it mixes with sperm and other fluids.

In this prostatic fluid, there is zinc, citric acid, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, spermine, prostaglandins, cholesterol, lipids, immunoglobulins, phosphatase, PSA, as well as extracellular vesicles.

Actually, the highest concentration of zinc has been reported in the prostate gland. Now imagine if you masturbate three or four times a day or more how many of these nutrients are lost each and every time.

(Again, note that I am not talking about sexual intercourse, because then the trade-off is a net positive.)

sorry for many but short paragraphs im writing on phone, does anyone know about more pros and cons?
