Yeah there's a big discussion about that in Argentina, it's generally divided by oldcels and youngcels

Young kids who only watched messi and only heard what maradona did will say messi is better

oldcels who watched both will say maradona is better, but they might be more based due to nostalgia, and other factors
what maradona did in 86' isn't comparable to anything, winning against england and then being world champions will make most people who experienced that era think maradona is better
