We all know about mewing, but many people on here have orthodontic issues that arent a reccesion but more to do with the lower jaw.
We also know that teeth extractions for the purpose of fitting braces will cause even more recession even if it improves your jaw alignment

An easy fix for this is using a palate expander until all your teeth are aligned so you can get traditional braces/invisalign, this will also give you a better smile without causing teeth gaps like it does in adults using a palate expander since youre still in puberty. If all your teeth are aligned you can already get it but with invisalign being a better option.

This is impossible in some cases though but I reckon that a lot of young ppl could have had palatal expansion instead of extractions, this is sad.

Most orthodontist don't have aesthetic in mind. Neither do they have the functional aspect as well since retracting the jaws narrow down the airways. They want the perfect teeth occlusion, often at the expense of those.

In a perfect world, nobody should have braces to begin with. Soft food, lack of breastfeeding, mouth breathing and lack of exercise contribute to poorly developed cranio facial development in the younger population. Even just wearing braces messes up faces.

I have a slight overbite its like 2.5mm, it looks fine from the side my lips are aligned and i have straight teeth with full smile, do you think i need this?

u think palatal expansion is possible thru hard chewing?

lots of ppl online say its happened to them only if they r still in puberty and it cant be a coincidence that everyone who favoured one side of their face chewing also has that side to end up being more developed?

it could but its all theoretical, palate expander is guaranteed to work

orthojews will do anything for money, and if you have any orthodontic issues at all they will offer you a solution for it

almost all causes of recession are orthodontic related literally moving the palate upwards and outwards will fix the maxilla and bring the jaw upwards fixing all sorts of problems related to crooked nose, shit lips, poor undereye support, etc correcting the alignment of the teeth would ascend a recessed chin and bring mandible forwards, a wide lower palate fixes a narrow jaw, chewing allows for temple growth and remodeling of the ramus

widening palate also resolves shit ipd and shit zygo projection and such
