What do you think is best for building an aesthetic physique, wide grip pull ups or close grip ones?
 
depends how u do em, generally speaking closegrip is easier to hit the lats but u might ignore the teres major muscles which are targeted more with widegrip, widegrip is kinda better if u perform it well for back.

Wide grip + chin ups, regular close grip are useless it's for forearms

Oh alright, but i already have well developed traps i might just go ham on wide grip pull ups
even more developed traps wouldnt hurt lol
 
Fuck, ive been doing hammer pull ups like a retard thinking its useful
It's good, why not, escpecially if you have weak mind-muscle connection it doesn't matter that much

What do you think is the back muscle i should give most attention?
Just do wide pull-ups with weight incresing weight as a CORE, and switch different secondary exercises to work in different angles. All exercises are good if you feel the muscle

no. i dont think any normal pullups is gonna fail ur forearms first unless ur weak

Is weight really that important? Cuz i do like 8 pull ups for 6 or 7+ sets just to increase my rep count

I do both wide pull ups and close grip chin ups, but if I had to choose one it would be wide pull ups they really work the back,close grip chin ups are great for biceps

So if i want lats i just keep spamming close grip
based on amatomy yes, practically doesnt matter if u are pro in a vertical pull then u have good lats
