Quad helix expander

Does anyone have any experience with the quad helix expander?

I was given one to expand the bottom arch to match the top arch which is being expanded with MSE. The thing is that this shit keeps poking me. It is probably the most horrible design possible, like a little metal torture thing made to cut up your tongue every time you try to make a practical movement. Does anyone have any quick fixes to save me? Please God have mercy on my tongue

I have one on rn check my threads. Shit used to be annoying but it doesn't poke me anymore and I don't talk with a lisp anymore
