You need to use it plugged in all the time if you want decent performance but by doing this you are damaging the battery, so what's the point of buying one?

I don't know if people who are planning into purchasing one know that having your laptop plugged in all the time combined with high temperatures will damage the battery pretty quickly.

people who buy gaming laptops are stupid so i doubt they know that.
 
Set the limit to charge up to 60% and that way it basically runs on the power brick and your battery is ok
