my friend has 140 something iq. Hes pretty depressed and often says he wish he was never born. Probably sucks

Idk he doesnt like to get into it. Most ive gotten is he feels life is meaningless and he cant see himself working a 9-5 for the rest of his life. Hes insinuated that if he doesnt make it with his music he might end it before long. He blanks when I ask him what he finds fun or what he likes to do. Hes bp too

If you're from a decent area there are a few people always. And you live in a household so you interact with your family all the time.

Good university + program and almost everyone is high IQ.

What is easily apparent to you seems to be invisible to almost everyone else. And people act with hostility if you point them out.

A lot of things on your mind seem to infuriate a large majority of people if you point them out.

You are more likely to feel alone than most people within the course of your life. You are more likely to get treated as an outsider. As a result it becomes far more likely for you to develop in a neurodivergent way, if you don't have something else going for you like a strong body, good looks to bring you popularity and respect.

It seems like people don't value intelligence as much as they should. But intelligence is not the popularity booster like other positive qualities at all. Instead, people probably project their insecurities and hate you instead. The more stupid the others are, the more intense this gets.

This always happens unless you couple it with incredible display of humility. This is how most intelligence people in media seem to sell it. If you even state your points in a neutral way, you get to be seen as a major asshole to 90% of the population.

No political party plays their campaigns and policies on you. Instead, the whole politics charade seems like an absolute joke/buffoonery. When people talk politics, almost everything sounds incredibly ridiculous very quickly very fast.

Probably intelligence needs to be coupled with extreme machiavellinism and deep study of human psychology like Edward Bernays did; for it to be an asset in social situations. But it's a far cry from being a natural developmental path.

Many traits like

1. I question more.

2. I look at multiple perspectives e.g. "how will this affect the economy?" or "are there worldviews which are massively intelligent which take a stance not quite parallel to this action?"

3. I am more cautious.

4. I am more ambitious.

I dunno. I never felt I was the one being different. I felt that other people were different. Because to me, my thinking and other mental faculties are normal. Others are weird. This type of thinking would be debunked if it was not backed by experience. But no, I have seen time and again that I am more accurate in my assessments and predictions. I also seem to grasp things faster and better. So it's not some delusion I am harboring. Internally, I feel completely ok.

I am also very much like my immediate close circle, my family. My father, my mother, my aunts, ny cousins etc. And ofc, their close friends etc. No problems there.

With other people, I had to learn some psychological concepts to help me out. These things helped me understand others better as well as certain parts of myself that I need to tap into more to harness the sociopsychological energy inherent within all humans.

Intelligent people are inherently more curious. So learning comes easier to them. Superior knowledge always ends up as one of the advantages of being a smart person.

I can say that knowledge saved me.
