I know someone who is muslim but has never been seen without his cap. He's very narcy so I am wondering if its just a religious/cultural thing or in reality he is balding.

I believe a narcy person would just show off their amazing hair if they had it. It cannot be religion because then why would you be trying to show off your roided body? But then suddenly a hang up with hair and cap?

It’s a cultural thing, really. When people pray at the mosque, everyone wears a cap except I don’t. I don’t think it has any religious significance at all but I could be wrong. Perhaps @emeraldglass could fill us in?

But like never be seen without your cap in public in 4 months? Is that really normal for a man? I've never seen a young person do something like this in the west. If it was oldcels at 40+ well ok.

It really seems odd to me. Perhaps it's just cultural but idk...

Thanks for your answer!

If they’re older men, then wearing a cap constantly or often is completely normal, I see many do this. But if they’re young and they’re wearing a cap, that’s practically unheard of. Does he also grow a beard and wear traditional clothes? If so, you are probably looking at a salafist/wahhabi.

Good to know, because I always felt like the odd one out for not wearing one while literally everyone else around me does.

I also never wear one. It makes my head itch.

Beard is on and off. Clothes are NT.

I thought it could go on the line of "only my significant other can see my beauty" but it doesn't add up with attention seeking behaviour plus he's single. I wonder if he's balding maybe, he uses cap even at night 10 pm. Although his back hair looks really thick...

Yeah he doesn’t sound like a salafist then. There’s no religious reason to wear one. It’s just his style I suppose. Only time I see people wearing it is when they’re going to the mosque or going back home, not having one on constantly.

It is sunnah to wear that during praying.

Wikipedia sunnah=

sunnah, also spelled sunna (Arabic: سنة), are the traditions and practices of the Islamic prophet Muhammad that constitute a model for Muslims to follow. The sunnah is what all the Muslims of Muhammad's time evidently saw and followed and passed on to the next generations.

That being said I dont think there is any meaning to wear that outside of prayer times. I am not expert though

You wouldn’t want anything right on your other head either, wink wink.
Well that is something else. My other head itches when there is nothing on it. It is the opposite.

Cultural and religious.

My father told me a story once from his youth about a man (about 40 yo) from his workplace who was always wearing some cap or hat, no matter what season or weather, inside or outside. It was seen as very weird. There was a party once and women started shaming him for not taking off his hat inside and he said "no, I won't take it off! Screw you!" and went away. But there was a time when he accidentally took it off and it was a nw5-6.
