Personally I wouldn’t ask an incredibly deep question such as: why are we born, why was the universe made, how would a god be born. Reason for that is I would probably become a crazy lunatic if I knew the answer. My question would be something much simpler, for example, what do I need to do in order to achieve my dreams

I would want the answer to be clear and complete, telling me what happens to our thoughts, memories, and the feeling of being “ourselves” once our body stops working. I’d want to know if we go somewhere, if we change into something else, or if everything just ends. and why the universe is built that way. This truth would be more than just a fact, it would explain what death really means and what it teaches us about life. It would change how we see everything: how we live, how we treat each other, and how we think about our purpose in the short time we are alive.

What would happen if humans were timeless?

Would breaking the constraints of time really advance our civilization or only bring us doom?

Theres many possibilities. Ethically, it wouldnt make sense. In losing the margins of time you lose the fear of aging, your sense of urgency, your fear of losing. Your self of identity would break, your moral and ethical grounds would collapse, and worst of all your life would hold no meaning, everything you value now would become shallow, always accessible.

Even worse, a lost need of time would erase any sense of responsability. Everything could be postponed endlessly later. Trust and rules would become unexistent, since the only base that trust lays on is continuity. Society would become shallow and permformative.


As far as scientifical advancements go, i would say the scientific world would collapse. Many intellectuals who would dedicate their entire lives to their studies and experiments will now need not wait for trials, test runs, errors, they would be able to collect the answers in a second, answers would become expected, never celebrated or praised. We would not gaf about discovery anymore. When scientific breakthroughs are as common as sneezing, society might stop valuing kowledge and discovery. Take that as you will.

On a psychological note, humans would break, this amount of information and the ability to manipulate any point in their life would create many psychological disorders, dissociation, split identities and what not.
Nihillism would be a given, endless time to pursue ones hobbies, interests or even romantic goals would just feel shallow and boring after a certain point.

Culture and art would become meaningless, both born out of struggle and pain that would not exist in a timeless world.

Also, would there be a social hierarchy if everyone could influence their pasts/presents/futures as they wished? Or would we all become god-like creatures

Speaking on godlike creatures, what would happen to the vast religions around the world? They could all be proven/disproven easily, would this doom our societys morals even more?

Its all very interesting to think about, and just makes me appreciate death even more.
