I was really scared of planes as a kid after that one swiss pilot killed himself and the whole plane he was on by crashing into a lake.
I get it tho. The prospect of a plane crashing is the exact thing i wrote in my answer. A situation where death is inevitable and you don't have the power to save yourself or the people you love.
