Question regarding mewing

I'm currently 17 and done with puberty. If I don't mew, will my jaw continue to downswing and become more recessed over the years, or is my jaw position permanent after bones have stopped growing?

At 17 mewing can still have some decent effects. After that results are painfully slow but still there.
The thing is if you don't have proper tongue posture (= mewing) your face will downswing even more as you age bc it lacks support (see Stephen Hawking). So you should mew anyway

You're not done with puberty fully at 17. Regardless, your bones are not set in shape like that for the rest of time. Look at old people, your bones can change. Just make sure to nose breathe
