Renoise, audacity if I'm just recording stuff. I don't really do much digital stuff anymore though, I've become much more engrossed in performed music with things that I've built, but honestly I spend more time prototyping shit and building than I do making music these days. What DAW you use? @lunin7 @looksmaxxer2 @Cutecel2001
Opinions on fruity loops 21? I browsed rutracker in order to find it and I liked it a lot than the last version... Try to check it outRenoise, audacity if I'm just recording stuff. Is lunix better than windows when it comes to making music? I've tried it and tbh I don't like linux at allI don't like piano rolls, that's why I use renoise, I find the tracker interface to be more intuitive and efficient. I've never used FL, I'm on linux.
No. There is less music software supported for it natively. For me, Linux can do everything I need to musically, no problem. But if you use a lot of VSTs and you want to use FL, Linux is not for you. You can run FL with wine, but it is a hassle. I hate windows though, I've never had a computer of my own with windows on it, I got a chromebook in middle school and installed custom bios on it to use linux, been using it ever since. Is lunix better than windows when it comes to making music? I noticed. I tried linux 4 years ago. Installed it with the help of an uncle that used to help me with my laptop. When i tried to put my vsts and install fl with wine it was a pain in the ass. However the interface and everything was so smooth and cool...No. There is less music software supported for it natively. For me, Linux can do everything I need to musically, no problem. Fl mogs ableton to oblivionUsed only FL for like 6yrs now, wish I learned Ableton instead but I have sunken cost fallacy at this point.
For hiphop beats FL is the best DAW in my opinion, it's good for loop based production in general.
