Questions regarding palate expanders

Hi im planning on getting a palate expander to expand my palate, I just had some questions beforehand if anyone could answer or just drop any info abt palate expanders.

Would a palate expander interfere with my braces? I got braces like a month ago and i wanna get a palate expander to widen my maxilla. Will it like ruin or displace my braces or anything, im gonna also speak to my dentist abt this.

Also are there any negatives of getting a palate expander? Im 16 would it do anything bad or will it only benefit me?

Also will hgh interfere with the palate expander? And how long do palate expanders last? If anyone has like any extra helpful info please lmk, much appreciated.

Well this would need a consultation with your orthodontist but if he doesnt deem that ur maxilla needs expansion he wont expand it because you want to look better.
If you actually have a narrow palate and you dont already have a palatal expander on ur orthodontist is retarded and ur most likely getting some jew treatment
Now if you were to get one hgh would only help and wouldnt do anything negative
It will last 6-12 months on average

Yeah it’s from an orthodontist I didn’t mean to say dentist loll that was my fault, but my maxilla is recessed and so is my jaw, the orthodontist I spoke does like surgeries and what not and they kinda set up my braces to promote the most forward growth. I hope it helps, if it doesn’t I’ll just get surgery when im older. Also my teeth are crowded which ig means i just have like a narrow palate or wtv.

Well ill say theres absolutely no way braces are gonna encourage forward growth in the bones

You probably got the short end of the boot here and all they are doing is camouflaging ur bite, the same shit was said to me when I was looking for solutions to my deep bite that was accompanied with both jaws being recessed, thankfully I did something else to fix it

In this case what the braces are gonna do is fix ur crowding and probably align ur bite but they wont fix ur jaw recession rather camouflage it and they will make you put retainers on for basically the rest of ur life to not let the teeth go back to their natural position

Expansion may lead to good results tho
