1. Does it have long term affect on skin e.g worsened collagen production

2. Which do I buy tretiheal, A-ret, retino A?

3. What percentage, I'm assuming lowest to start with.

1. Quite the opposite, it was originally made for anti-aging purposes
2. Brand does not matter, it's all the same
3. I'd start with 0.025, use it for a while (like two months or so) and see how your skin reacts then switch to a stronger one if you want results faster

Depends on your age. It will take at about 6 months to see benefits if you're only 22.
If you're 25, you're going to see the benefits within 3 months.

I use A-ret gel 0.1%. They used to have the same in cream form which seemed to be stronger but maybe it just had better absopsion.

I've never bought less than 1% but maybe that's just because I'm jewish and don't like paying the same price for a quarter the dose.
Just learn how much your skin can take and go from there.

Also the gay glow is overrated. 80% of the time, your skin is going to be either dry and atrophied or shedding like a lizard.

I've been using tretinol for about two months. before going to bed, after 10 minutes with moisturizing cream. i can't say that my skin has improved, but a gay glow has definitely appeared, and my skin is so fucking red.

I'm not even in the sun right now, but I'll keep using it, it hasn't been long enough.

I'm 17, is it too young to start?

Either way, i ordered a 20g tret 0.025% retin A, how long should i use it before an upgrade, shouldI even bother or is it enough(long term use is fine)?

Do you get acne? Since you are 17 you wont see huge changes on your skin with tret as your collagen production is still high at young age. Regardless your skin will still improve with tretinoin, but I would start with 0.025 as you have already ordered it. Like I said earlier, you dont have to increase the strength if there is no need for it, stronger concentrations are rougher on skin but give better results. And long term usage is fine, as long as you use suncreen. Benignice has a great guide on skincare on best of the best if you need more info

Dont use it every night if your skin really gets red every time, try using it every other day or like thrice of twice a week

Curiology and other sites sell it. Back when I was on my dad's insurance a year ago I had access to a dermatologist who prescribed me 6 months worth of 0.1% which will unironically clear your face completely in 3-6 months. Unfortunately you'll need an in person derm to prescribe you this good shit cause every site I've bought tret from only prescribes 0.05% as the strongest which will clear your face up in 6 months to a year (depends on your specific skin type). 0.025% is more or less the percentage most people go with which will take a bit longer to show results. Another thing to note is that you have to be extremely careful not to apply it to your face while wet and be very careful with what kind of moisturizer you use afterwards along with how you apply it. Sometimes I'd fuck up application like an autist, and my face would turn red like a tomato while burning like mad. Use a pea-sized amount of tret and dab it on the middle of your forehead, both cheeks, and nose. Then gently rub it all in with two fingers in a circular manner. After that just do the same with whatever moisturizer you use.

I noticed my skin would look clear and smooth long as I stopped skin care completely for a day.

I get immediate acne benefits but skin hasn't improved yet

My face is so dry in the morning tho, flaky skin is awul

Online you will find women who have been using it for decades and there's no problems for them. Therefore we can rule out any negative long-term effects.

Start with the lowest.

To elaborate on part 1: keep in mind that they did not simply use tretinoin. They used other products as well that they applied during the day and during the night. It takes consistency.

I haven't used any face products so I'm just going off of what I have read about online.

I've never bought less than 1% but maybe that's just because I'm jewish
I'm Islamic but I have a so-called Jewish nose (I haven't really seen any Jews with my nose except for Adrien Brody) so we are basically both Jewish.

I have to say the gay glow is really apparent. You can instantly recognize it in daylight. I used to think people just had really good skin but apparently it's just the gay glow. Now I know better.
