Over the past few days, I've made rapid progress in programming and I'm enjoying how far I've gone but something that I noticed this being my first time learning a skill online & first time "Learning" in 8 years, is how much I'm overestimating how long I can focus & keep myself engaged before feeling like I've had enough of this shit & just fuck off.
For example, first few days I purchased I shit you not 50+ Udemy courses on programming, and now not only haven't I started a single one, I'm also 100% sure I cannot sit through courses at all, I'd also saved like 50 programming videos on youtube but now removed all because I realized they become incredibly boring since the creator's goal is dragging the tutorials out, not help you.
Stop collecting resources, focus on one, it's pretty similar to lifting tbh if you walk into the gym & all that's on your mind is breaking your bench pr, you're more than likely to do it, then whatever happens afterwards you don't give a fuck, you go and do 2-3 other exercises and fuck off, but if you go to the gym with a plan to hit bench, then overhead press, then rows, then dips, then pullups and whatnot, you'll fail miserably, because your body can only take 1 or 2 of them seriously.
