For context: This “memoir” was written by my favourite comedian, Norm Macdonald. Many of his comedian friends thought this would be a real memoir going into detail about his life.
However, 90% of the book is fictionalised bullshit - which is what he does and why I love him
These few chapters are the only retelling of his childhood. There is a massive contrast between the rest of the book to this excerpt in particular. The rest of the book is fucking hilarious but this - It’s just so dark/bleak and very detailed leading many people to believe he was sexually assaulted as a child.
The next chapter header kind of confirms it for me.
idk I just found it very sad leading me to write this. I feel every great comedian is just really fucked up inside.
