r/PurplePillDebate is rapidly becoming a full blown blackpilled subreddit

First off, I’ve first discovered the PurplePillDebate subreddit back in 2018, when I used to browse the now obsolete RedPill on Reddit. As it’s name might suggest, it was originally meant to be a moderated “battleground” for the manosphere’s redpilled ideology and people who declared themselves bluepilled and are actvely trying disprove the former’s ideas.

Sounds good on paper, right? A place where people can share their arguments equally… well not quite. Back in 2018 that place was just a bluepilled echochamber, any redpilled post was swarmed with hordes of whiteknights, male feminists, inceltears members, feminists and other bugpeople and you were quickly downvoted to hell. It was completely pointless to argue with those people, so I only took a glance at that forum and then went on with my life for years.

Fast forward now, I have recently stumbled on it again, while reading something else on Reddit. Out of curiousity, I’ve read into some trending posts and long story short I was blown away how much the general aura has changed.

Years ago as I’ve said it was a complete echochamber of whiteknights, now the place looks like the 180 degree opposite of that. There are based posts popping up every day and instead of being refuted by bluepillers, now the majority of comments are pretty much blackpilled and whenever some soyboy tries to virtue signal, now he is the one who gets downvoted to invisibility.

Just few recent examples, but really threads like these are popping up there on a daily basis now:

The posts are unusually high effort compared to other places on Reddit and it’s blatantly obvious if you browse the place for some time that guys don’t want to take the lies anymore.

On one side it’s filled with average looking guys who struggle in online dating, older guys who were divorceraped, many people are obviously connected to the looksmaxphere (Hamza is often referenced), manlets who have seen it with their own eyes how people treat them…

And on the other side the subreddit also has a sizeable female userbase, who almost always partakes in the discussion with bad faith. This is a key element. Unlike male only incels forums, like .is, guys on PurplePillDebate argue in a completely civil manner, partly because they are tied by Reddit’s guidelines. Yet the girls always get triggered when they spill blackpills and try to attack them personally for speaking the truth… it’s like they are so full of shit lol

Why I’m writing this post is because this tendencies coincide with what I see, hear and experience in my university. I keep hearing things from complete normie looking guys that could have been only possible on sites like Looksmax and the blackpillsphere a few years ago.

I don’t agree at all with incels when they claim society is collapsing , every second male is a celibate yada yada, but I do see more and more guys being unsatisfied with their place in the world. They see the game is rigged against them, women have an endless list of requirements for a traditional man, yet they themselves refuse to bring anything to the table.

Quality posts, definitely will give them a look. The effort, eloquence and rigorous adherence to making logic arguments are a great way of winning over the minds of guys that might be on the fence or are in disbelief of why they keep finding themselves rejected.

The community shift could also be due to reddit shutting down /r/mgtow in 2021 and them migrating into this subreddit, the posts look very similar.

I think shift in the community orientation could also be due to reddit shutting down /r/mgtow in 2021 and them migrating into this subreddit, the posts look very similar.

The extraordinarily high effort posts are especially strange since anyone who have used reddit for some time knows posting high effort is REALLY risky because of how a few downvotes can alter your essay into invisibility at the bottom of the thread, never to be seen again.

This. Pretty much all the mgtow/redpill/incel/blackpill subreddits have been deleted and removed. So the ppl that used those places partly migrate to purplepill as it's the only non-banned reddit left that isn't completely woke.

I know truecels IRL and somehow they hardly even care about being treated with disgust in their daily life. They just go to work, go home, drink and watch football with the guys, maybe fuck some ugly girl, sleep. Repeat.

Yeah this is true. Information is far easier to get nowadays and with tiktok/instagram; looksmaxxing is far more common. People are looksmaxxing harder than ever before.

but this is different from blackpill/redpill/incel content. That is more about male/female advantages and struggles. Dating, relationships, etc. I don't really see more people advocating for this anywhere. In fact there's still a huge tendancy in the netherlands to give even more privileges to women every year. This is so true. I have been saying for a long time now that we have been entering a stage of blackpill accelerationism since the turn of the pandemic. Many normies are beginning to realise how over it is.

I see incel lingo seeping into Zoomer culture. You would never heard the words "mog" or "chad" 2 years ago, but now I hear them being used semi-regularly by normies.

With each passing year, I see shit getting worse for the average man. Pre-pandemic I saw lots of normies getting action at the club... but now the chance of scoring is significantly lower. Also online dating used to be bearable back in 2017-2018, but now 90% of men are fighting for landwhales on Tinder, while the top 10% have sex with all of the women. The 18-21yr old foids in 2022 are browsing TikTok 2hrs+ daily and seeing all of the prettyboys and male models plague their feed. It distorts their perception of what the average male even is. They have desperate normie orbiters irl, their Instagram is filled to the brim with DMs and they get thousands of matches in OLD. The game is rigged. The social status of a 50 percentile woman is higher than a 90 percentile male. Everywhere a woman goes she receives compliments, encouragement and affection. It's life on tutorial mode.

The result of our gynocentric society is that a 4/10 girl thinks she is entitled to an 8+/10. The ego of the average woman is insufferable and they are out of touch with reality. Due to their biology, they are incapable of even understanding the existence of the average man. In fact, they are programmed to only experience selective compassion and empathy for those they deem worthy of it (not men).

Normies can't hide from reality any longer. They are beginning to see the truth for what it is. The bluepilled anecdotes are becoming scarcer and the copes are coming to an end. Subsequently, normies are beginning to operate on the same playing field as us... they are soft-maxxing hard and it's only a matter of time before the West becomes blackpilled like Korea. Men are becoming more cynical of women... they are looksmaxxing and they are doing anything to get ahead of their peers. It's game over for many men like me. I don't have the genetic base to compete with soft-maxxed normies. There is no truly hope. Another side effect of the growing incel problem is that prostitutes are becoming more and more expensive. I have seen a 30-50% increase in whore prices over the past few years. The marketplace value for women is a literal bubble.

As it’s name might suggest, it was originally meant to be a moderated “battleground” for the manosphere’s redpilled ideology and people who declared themselves bluepilled and are actvely trying disprove the former’s ideas.

Sounds good on paper, right? A place where people can share their arguments equally… well not quite. Back in 2018 that place was just a bluepilled echochamber, any redpilled post was swarmed with hordes of whiteknights, male feminists, inceltears members, feminists and other bugpeople and you were quickly downvoted to hell. It was completely pointless to argue with those people, so I only took a glance at that forum and then went on with my life for years.

Fast forward now, I have recently stumbled on it again, while reading something else on Reddit. Out of curiousity, I’ve read into some trending posts and long story short I was blown away how much the general aura has changed.

Years ago as I’ve said it was a complete echochamber of whiteknights, now the place looks like the 180 degree opposite of that. There are based posts popping up every day and instead of being refuted by bluepillers, now the majority of comments are pretty much blackpilled and whenever some soyboy tries to virtue signal, now he is the one who gets downvoted to invisibility.

Just few recent examples, but really threads like these are popping up there on a daily basis now:

The posts are unusually high effort compared to other places on Reddit and it’s blatantly obvious if you browse the place for some time that guys don’t want to take the lies anymore.

On one side it’s filled with average looking guys who struggle in online dating, older guys who were divorceraped, many people are obviously connected to the looksmaxphere (Hamza is often referenced), manlets who have seen it with their own eyes how people treat them…

And on the other side the subreddit also has a sizeable female userbase, who almost always partakes in the discussion with bad faith. This is a key element. Unlike male only incels forums, like .is, guys on PurplePillDebate argue in a completely civil manner, partly because they are tied by Reddit’s guidelines. Yet the girls always get triggered when they spill blackpills and try to attack them personally for speaking the truth… it’s like they are so full of shit lol

Why I’m writing this post is because this tendencies coincide with what I see, hear and experience in my university. I keep hearing things from complete normie looking guys that could have been only possible on sites like Looksmax and the blackpillsphere a few years ago.

I don’t agree at all with incels when they claim society is collapsing , every second male is a celibate yada yada, but I do see more and more guys being unsatisfied with their place in the world. They see the game is rigged against them, women have an endless list of requirements for a traditional man, yet they themselves refuse to bring anything to the table.

I regularly frequent the subreddit and it’s very clear which demographics have certain world views. Married people in their early 30s and upwards are almost never blackpilled but all the young men who post on the subreddit are. Back when the redpillers and bluepillers were dating 20 years ago; “lifting and just putting yourself out there” was more than enough to have a fulfilling dating life.
