Same position but Latino with Latina women.

I think a part of it is them, the women, trying to maintain their status/ reputation. They would rather reject you first, knowing you’re already not interested and can do better, to save face.

A part of it is control/power too.

Women know instinctively what people go well together, who attracts who.

A lot of women will try to gaslight guys saying they’re not masculine enough, not thug enough, gay, creepy, all this shit. When it’s really about knowing you’re better than them and wouldn’t give them the time of day if they showed interest
