A month and a half ago I had an xray for a dislocated thumb, which I thought was a perfect oppurtunity to see my wrist growth plates so I could assess bone age. Turns out only my thumb and index were visible (metacarpals). However, I looked back on the images recently and noticed that on the AP xray of my thumb a part of my radius might've been visible. The radiologist said the growth plate was visible but he couldn't analyse bone age (I need an actual full hand xray). But from what I can see it's more open than the growth plates on my phalanges.
