Just got back from my morning run and like 5-6 random runners and people passing by smiled and waved at me and greeted me with a "Good morning" or "Have a good day" out of nowhere. Is this a normal thing in the U.S? Like people randomly come up to me to make small talk and talj about about weather, politics, NBA etc. I find it strange because this is not at all thing where I live.

Nah it's just a morning runners' thing. Happened to me once too back in 2017. I was fired from my wagecuck warehouse job at the start of a morning shift and was walking back home thru the park, and some white oldcel runner passed by me and said "good morning sir you have a good day :)" . Always stuck with me for sum reason

They are nice people. I guess you're not living in a ghetto. No one does this in the UK. Maybe in the north at times. Definitely not in the south.

Lol not the case. They aren't thuggish. They are just generally cold.

People in the north are way nicer and sociable.

All foreigners say that people in America are very friendly and outgoing. This must be true, considering that I constantly see some chaotic brainrottish things in the US.

This is common with Americans. They’ll spark up a conversation with you and just yap their fucking mouths off. This is why I just ignore/ avoid most people when I go outside.

i wish i could have spent my youth in the west 😫

i am rotting at curryland even though i mog 99% of jeetas to hell
Ppl in America seem to be nicer though at least on a superficial level, cus i grew up in the west (outside of America) and it is uncommon for me, but when I visited America in the smaller cities, I had the same experience that OP had

This stuff is NEVER going to happen in India for a long time.
Classic low vs high trust society difference.

Most people in India walk outside their houses hoping they don't get scammed, robbed or raped.
In a well developed society, these concerns aren't as prevalent. This is why the people are more social and welcoming to strangers.

I want to GTFO of this shithole country but i don't see a reasonable way to do so.

Americans are nice people.
Welcome to the best country.

SoCal is even more friendly and extroverted.

Seattle is like the Midwest, polite but not too chatty.

Americans are more like Labradors. We're the default.

Friendly but versatile, we can change gears in a second.

Canadians are the golden retrievers of humans.
