random thought about height gentics (i think i created my own genetics jfl)

My Daddy is 161 cm 5'28 feet (if that maked sense im not used to american gooning units of measurement) and my Mommy is 154 cm so 5 feet.
YET IM AROUND 174 CM 5'9 AT 17.
i know im not tall, but hey i couldve been shorter wtf.

And i know that some gooners will come and reply with "Nutriton/sleep" matters, u had tall grandparents (which i dont even have) but that alone doesent explain that jump imo.
so from what ive read and researched about height is that it isnt just "average of parents", its polygenic. like a lot of genes involved, not just one or two. so some traits might skip a generation or only show when compined in a certain way
(I provide the sources below btw)
also, mid parent height formulas are just averages anyway. they work on big groups, not on single people, so different results are obviously gonna exist
not saying that genes just spawn out of ur butthole, just that ur mama and papa pass down a bunch of genes and sometimes the combo comes out wrong and waaaay different. ig environment just decides gow close u get to whatever height

People in my family are usually quite tall I just have CGD so my growth is much slower (they all claimed to be late bloomers but I now know this is the true reason), though my father is really short because he had a GH deficiency and they were too poor and had no insurance so they couldnt get him HGH therapy.

Its fine, I had to go through my entire time in highschool at 5'5 and then a few months before graduation I grew around 3 inches, the difference in treatment was EXTREMELY noticeable and people quit making fun of my height for the most part. I've grown a little over half an inch more since then but idk if its just natural growth or if the HGH had something to do with it. Praying I hit 6'0 then I'm gonna have children with a 5'8+ woman so that hopefully my son can be atleast 5'8-5'10 going through highschool since he'll likely have CGD aswell.
