I'm making the case for tallness as a benefitial trait in itself, irregardless of the aspect of sexual dimorphism. It's simply an advanced stage in evolution. If you feed a baby properly with lots of nutrients then it'll grow up to be taller than one who wasn't well taken care of. Taller means more bone mass, muscle mass, brain mass etc.
