Theyre both kinda the same but esr kinda matters more in the sense that it causes other failos sometimes as well. For example long midface ratio although its not long but its caused by ipd itself. Facial thirds are hella underrated though.

if theyre unbalanced it just creates a huge imbalance between the face imo. Tyler maher for example although still chad, even normies can tell his lower third is too long. Ive seen people say here 45% lower third is ideal and other bullshit. Ideal is masc distribution 35 lower, 32 middle, 33 upper.
