I suffer from hyper-androgenism, high risk of androgen related problems, and already high chance of infertility simply from that.
Already have fairly low sperm quality.
Plus being on anti-androgens lowered my sperm quality. I banked sperm and the quality is very low same with the motile count. It's so low that instead of getting 6 vials I only got 1 vial - that's how low it is.
My current recovery plan: Stay on anti-androgens until I travel, another 1.5 months. When I travel for 2 weeks, I'll probably only take finasteride and see if it helps (doubt it will, but I'd take anything), then when I get back asap use hCG+Clomid for 6-12 weeks, while being on this I might still use fin or maybe dut. Have higher sperm quality and rebank week 6-12 of hcG+clomid.
If I rebank right now its risky since it'll still be low.
If the thawed sample fails or has no viable sperm, you have no backup.
Most fertility clinics want 3–6 vials, even for ICSI, to allow for:
Multiple cycles
Backup in case of thaw failure
Sample splitting for testing
I have no desire to have kids but I never know, maybe I'll want some one day.
I also could risk it right now, and just stop all anti androgen related medication, go on hcg and clomid for 8 weeks, and rebank again. This time with a higher chance of regaining more viable sperm.
