Im thinking of swapping the cleanser and moisturizing cream with CeraVe brand
Swapping to CeraVe products will also be a little bit cheaper
What are your thoughts?
I am also on the fence on using vaseline

DO NOT use Vaseline if you have oily skin and prone to acne and instead, use CeraVe Foaming Cleanser or SkinBetter Oxygen Infusion Wash as cleansers.

My recommendation is that you use La Roche-Posay Uvmune 400 as a sunscreen, it is the best on the market with the best technology and filters against UVB/UVA.

My skin is mainly dry and with the added tret it gets extra dry and flaky, these products seem to be targeted towards oily type
The ones i'm thinking of swapping to seem more appropriate

I will try it, but sadly it is not available now from where i buy my stuff, i'll have to wait

Use Tretinoin 3 times a week and 30 minutes later apply some kind of moisturizer like The Ordinary HA.

Yes, i know how it works, but is there something wrong with the products i'm using or thinking of swapping to?
Are the ones you recommend what you used and seen good results?

Do u have acne?

I mean, you don't need to take my advice or use any of these products, but it is based on my anecdotal evidence and experience.

Yes, they are.

I like to use products that combine things, such as BB cream with moisturizing effect or a moisturizer with built in sun protection

I think i made a mistake, i went through some old photos and had a sudden realization, before i started using tret, my face throughout the day would feel dirty and heavy
Only now i realize it was oily :feelsuhh: :feelsuhh: :feelsuhh:

Luckily i didn't order anything, i'll have to rethink my choices

Do u have cysts? Comedones? How bad is it?
I used to be severe, but now i mostly have acne scars with some occasional pimples and very rare huge under the skin ones (i think cyst, i have one rn)

I'll send you an unfrauded pic in dm

I am assuming you have not ran tret before?

0.1% tret is too much to begin with, especially since you have dry skin. Think about it, I have oily skin and applied that shit to my scalp (much thicker and oily skin) and I peeled like a MF for a FULL WEEK.

Don’t ever run vaseline with 0.1% because it will trap tret and it will be penetrating your shit the whole night and leave you dry as your oneitis’ shit when she sees you.

Start with 0.025% tret 3 days, no Vaseline those nights. Apply vaseline during the off-days. Make sure your face is SUPER CLEAN you are literally trapping whatever is on your skin!!

Have not tried that particular cerave sunscreen but the one I have (it’s mineral - which is actually preferred) leaves a nasty white cast that don’t go away even in fucking shower.

Determine your skintype by this. I was surprised that my cheeks were actually dry while my T-zone is so oily I wonder why the US haven’t deployed 100k soldiers on that shit. This puts me in the combination category.

If you are used to 0.1% you can continue. All strengths end up at the same place you just arrive faster with a higher dose.

I haven’t gone into the science of this but I had the same problem so I went to reddit and cats there was saying when you apply tret it moves under skin so it can cause dryness to lips. Now I don’t apply it as near my lips and it’s better. Moisturize heavily too

I've seen a pic here with the area you should apply tret, but i was months ago
If i can't find it i'll make something up

Give ~5 minutes of drying before and after Retin a to maximise absorption btw

Also, apply as seen below to minimise irritation. The Retin A will spread into those sensitive areas anyway, you don't need to apply there.

I wish you'd point out your skin concerns so I can give better insight
If you want to replace the moisturizer, go with cerave lotion (bottle w pump), or cream (tub) if u like "thicker" moisturizers.
rest is good; with skincare just stick with what works for you tbh

i just want to get rid of acne and heal some scars
tret should help with both as it increases cell turnover so ur skin heals faster basically
I use dapsone 5% in the am tretonin 0.1% in the pm for the same ting
no topical will get rid of ur acne completely, if its hormonal u can continue to break out
