Brute force players like Haaland and Ibrahimovic seem to perform better (I know they're stikers, but this pertains to goal scoring). The issue is that they're top 1% height, making them extremely rare (combined with their skill).

Height is an advantage for their style of play- and while they do have good footwork, touch control etc they are more anomalies than the rule. And They just aren’t as quick footed as foden

Through balls and aerial challenges are more important than having a lower center of gravity for dribbling, IMO. Also, Usain Bolt is over 6'4; taller heights are necessary for top speeds.

Footballers need to be as fast as the breakaway distance (half of the pitch length). Even average height players like Mbappe and Walker would get creamed versus a taller competitive sprinter.
