Yes, they are grouped together in the MENA label, which stands for Middle East and North Africa. Middle East is another word for West Asia. But Egypt itself isn't in West Asia, it's in North Africa, so while it's still MENA, it isn't in the Middle Eastern part. They themselves are a mixed bunch, BTW. They somehow carry West African ancestry. It's not a lot, but still interesting to know.
