I adjusted just the ear tilt because it's easier that way in Photoshop but the whole face needs to be rotated upwards so that the ear appears as in the second picture.

I got your point but the thing of rotating the whole face is kinda useless imo because you can't know how soft tissue of the lower jaw will react, nose could look worse etc.
Angles can really be misleading
