My guess is to emphasize the harshness how women actually rate

Like the classic study of 80 20%

Where women rate 80% of men as unattractive, and only 20 as attractive and among that 20 % not a single one was rated "very attractive"

Plus it's easier to read because 5 psl is where you start being considered attractive, everything below is unattractive or average
