Ratio By Photo / Ratio By Actual Calculations

I tried to get exact measure of my mouth and nose, and found that my mouth is 52 mm, nose is 38mm.
So m/n ratio is 1,36 which is not that bad.

Also , i tried it with a hq photo shot by Nikon with 50m lens from a 5 meter distance.
The ratio came out as 1,14.

Wtf ? This made me think like all the measurements can be wrong by photo. Do you experience that ? Why this is happening.


PS : there was nothing wrong with angle of the lens or tilt of my head. i was standing exactly from the front of the lens and there was no such distortion or anything else to make calculations are not correct.

Use a mirror and put a ruler to your face pretty much 0 lens distortion and fast results instead of zooming on pics and autistically measuring photos

You don't understand my point.
All the measurements we done for models&attractive males might be quite wrong.
Think about it. All the right ratios and lengths.
I'm gonna use this to calculate from now on anyway.

idk man calipers are pretty expensive and are only slightly more accurate than rulers. As long as you aren't blind as fuck rulers are completely fine.

I agree mostly but certain areas like zygos are not so easy to precisely calculate. Also i want to know the exact mms.
It's not that expensive i guess, somehow affordable.

Okay, in pictures i have 1,98, even if i start from eyebrow's upper part it's 1,92 fwhr but with rulers i've 1,78.
what the actual fuck ?
why pictures change the measurements a lot ?
have you ever tried to calculate your face like doctors do, with a caliper ?
