We live in the age of the internet + AI is progressing rapidly

Instead of reading a book, use AI tools to summarize points, note take important key points, read a few reddit discussions on said topic etc.

Done, in one day you could gain alot of knowledge without reading a shit ton of filler words and word salads

Especially good for philosophy when you need to deal with the ramblings of geriatric incels and pretty much what can be summarised at old-money edgelords

The only time I could see reading a full whole book from start to finish whilst making notes on it = if you want to larp for some academia aesthetic. In which case go for it because being cool or feeling cool is the best feeling ever.

That's why you don't learn exclusively through discussions

Go read some @6ft4 threads or anyone of his wannabes

Where the crux of the discussion is

Jews and ethnics are the X reason Y happens and we need to save Europe by + incredibly incoherent word salad and schizophrenic ramblings

-> Talk shit about books

-> Make a hole essay

Dnr

Books were deemed 'doomed' when kindle was starting, and yet physical books are selling at all time high...

People that didn't read books at young age have poor vocabulary, basically low class npc-vibe, guess that's the standard in the US, but in EU we had higher standards then 'summarizing by gpt', it's not all about the "plot" lol.

90% of literature is useless filler that holds not value. watch movies and read wikipedia articles instead

reading books is important for meany reasons, going off from electronic devices is a big one for me personally. Also it hits just different just looking at real ink & paper and feeling the book itself. + if you are in public and barely fit in one chair because of your jackedness it gives you extra halo.

Maybe you read gay loser books and that's why you have this urge to summarize them and not actually read them

What if I enjoy reading? Not everything is some reluctant obligation that I want to get through as quickly as possible.
