Ever notice that whenever a sentence begins with "real men", the advice is always shit?
It's never for your own self interest, or makes the case that doing or not doing something would make your quality of life better.
"real men don't carry knives"? why? how does me losing by default in a physical altercation where an assaulter has a weapon make me more manly? it just makes robbing my phone or wallet or simply assaulting me easier.
It's quite a coincidence that being a "real man" is doing stuff that doesn't benefit you, but only other people. Any time you hear "real man" it's someone gaslighting you into getting you to do something that's bad for you.
