Receding hairline with thick hair or thin hair with norwood 1?

What would you rather have?
 
Depends on how much recession we're talking about.
Norwood 2? I'll get the receding one.
Norwood 3? More debatable.

Yeah I'd say norwood 3+. Norwood 2 you can cope with widows peak/not look that bad when wind hits your face

Thick norwood 3 might still be manageable if you have a small forehead in general. But if you have a forehead more on the bigger side, then with all the recession it'll look quite bad.
As for having thin hair but no recession, it will depend on whether you can pull very short hairstyles or a low buzzcut. If you can, then it'll look pretty good. If you can't pull short hairstyles/buzzcut due to facial features/proportions, then it won't look good.
Tough choice really. Depends on the rest of the face.
