I can’t believe they’re doing Lopes vs Volk 2 tbh. I think that’s more troll than the whole interim championship between Paddy and Gaethje.

Volk has a couple more fights left in him and this matchup does nothing legacy wise. It’s not even like Lopes is a bigger pull than someone like Lerone Murphy, tbh. A win off the #13 contender, despite the fact Jean Silva had hella hype, means jackshit.

I dare say even Aljo has more of a claim to the title.

Aspinall’s videos have been pissing me off lately too, doing way too much. Never been much of a fan.

Yeah he is, funnily enough he comes from a high level BJJ background. We rolled and he has very very good wrestling, which I didn’t expect. Apparently he’s been training at Oklahoma State, a very legitimate D1 program

Murphy is undefeated and got a finish against a guy in a title eliminator. Still, would be a nice win for Volk on the way out

I mean the start of the year is always horrendous. This year the start was a woman MMA fight night. What we’re getting is pretty good.

All the Muslims don’t fight till after Ramadan and everyone else don’t quite like to fight so early on. Not a lot of people were in training camp over the holidays JFL

Agreed Volk Lopes 2 is lazy matchmaking beating the same guy twice in a year does zero for Volk’s legacy when undefeated Lerone Murphy or even Aljo are sitting right there with stronger claims. it wastes what little prime Volk has left.
