I recently underwent a Le Fort 1 with Custom Malar-Infrabortial rim implants in Boston about 2 months ago and im very happy with the results. Changed all the convexities of my face and ascended me massively. Ask me anything about the planning and recovery process

which surgeon did you go to and how expensive it was for infraorbital implants?

Why lefort 1 and malar implant

Why lefort 1 and malar implant
my recessed maxilla was fucking my facial aesthetics and my upper maxillary projection was shit. My nasal bone and nasofrontal angle were good tho so if i did a le fort 2, I would have ended up overprojecting my nasal bone and looking like an idiot so i went with a le fort 1 for the tooth bearing portion of the maxilla and implants for the upper maxilla/zygos/infraorbitals

Age? Cost? What scans/images did u need to get? How long did planing take? Idk that much about surgery tbh so could you describe what steps you need to go through? Also what's ur opinion on filler?

On the pic (its very blurry) it looks like it's saddled
nah its screwed into the infraoribtal rim. the implants are built into the le fort plates and they were all inserted intra orally

are you serious? that's the best pic of the design you can post?

18 and it cost around 22k for the le fort and 7k for the implants. planning took about 3 months to do and surgery was done about 2 months after the scans. I had to take cbct scans, pictures and tooth molds. I personally dont like filler i prefer osteotomies as they are superior but one of my blackpilled friends did get filler and it worked a bit on him but its nothing compared to surgery. I had to consult with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to start the process and i just paid them and they took it from there mainly.

Any discomfort or issues with the implant?

How does it feel if you touch it?

nah i got no issues with the implants overall they were inserted very well. when i touch it since its behind hella soft tissue it feels like its part of the bone but the area was hella numb the first week post op

How did u get the money at 18 bro?

I paid around 22k for the le fort and 7k for the implants. i got it because my maxilla was so cooked it gave me a concave profile. both facial convexities were horribly off. I cant really speak on the psl points gained because there comes a bias with self rating but i would defo say massive improvement because of how genuinely cooked my midface was

Have you noticed any sag in the midface soft tissues, like in the cheek? And what material are the implants?

ive not noticed any sag and the implants are made of PEEK (Polyether ether ketone)

a bit conservative, do you like your results

ye 100% i would definitely do it all over again if i had to. would recommend surgery if you MMTN or below and seriously wanna ascend

How do you go about starting the process with getting in touch with the right surgeon and the surgical planning? When it comes to the design and choosing what to do (implants and possibly knowing you wanted lefort 1) did you know what you wanted beforehand or did you go to them and kinda let them decide what to do with a description of what you wanted to change? (If to certain topics are too personal I understand)

how was the recovery and you plan on posting before and afters?

recovery was hella long. I couldnt go gym for 6 weeks and i couldnt eat solid food for 6 weeks. i had zero feeling in my entire midface for a week or two and the swelling was so bad. it would hurt to talk loudly and move my mouth and stuff because of how swollen it was. Luckily they gave me hella oxy for the pain so the first week wasnt that bad as I was geeked outta my mind on the percs. I still have very little feeling in my maxillary alveolar ridge and reduced sensation in my hard palate about 12 weeks after surgery. It was never any real constant pain but the swelling was fucking crazy i looked like a balloon deadass. At first i was concerned maybe i didnt ascend because it was so swollen but i kept up hope and about 2-3 weeks post op i started to see it and was extremely happy with the results. After 10 weeks post op i can play contact sports again and now im cleared to return to normal life. I couldnt use straws or blow my nose for 2 weeks tho and it was hella annoying when my nose was full of bloody mucus. luckily i got hella nasal decongestant meds

I dont want to leak the exact facility or surgeon but Boston has top tier medical facilties such as Harvard Medical School, Tufts Medical school, and Boston University medical campus and top tier hospitals so i knew that these mfs knew what the fuck they were doing and they would get me right. When it came to design and planning i made sure to let the surgeon and the biomedical engineering team that I am very bothered with the appearance of my upper jaw and the flatness in the upper midface and they took the planning part from there. I had an idea of what i wanted before hand and I actually wanted a le fort 2. They told me under no circumstance they would perform a le fort 2 on me and they were actually right. If they did le fort 2 my nasal bone would have been hella over projected and I would have looked like an idiot so trust the surgeons over anyone here. But yeah i let them decide with a description of what I wanted to change pretty much. remember they know more than you so if you go in for planning dont have a massive ego and listen to their suggestions on how to fix your problem

my instincts say you went with the 2nd one :feelshah:

@trueadam64 How long did you have braces before your surgery. And what bite did you have?

I didnt have braces they gave me clear aligners for like a few months and I had a class 3 malocclusion

props man thats insane mirin hard can't wait till u post results also u think if someone did a surgery like that it will be hard to do contact sports thats the main reason i dont wanna do surgery currently im lmtn but i do grappling and striking i dont wanna leave that just to slay ltbs

theres a technology called ridgid fixation over wiring your jaws shut and pretty much what occurs is they use custom desinged titanium plates and screws and screw in the custom plates to your maxilla to hold it into place and give it extra stability so the healing process is faster

im so fascinated how us humans are so fking advanced in a few years i can def see surgeries becoming more accessible to almost everyone

yeah the advancement in tech is crazy but i doubt the surgery will be widely accessible because the recovery is fucking brutal icl
