I always see loads of varying responses for this question. Generally the answer is braces, but people also advise against it because it can cause maxilla recession? Just wanna know what the best path to take would be. If it helps I have mild crowding aswell. Teeth have been holding me back for ages jfl

Braces do NOT cause recession ( unless you do premolar extractions) so the solution here depend on how severe your overbite is , if it’s mild then braces would do it , if it’s moderate to severe then bimax would be a perfect fit . What i would do is do an xray and go visit a maxillofacial surgeon he’ll tell you exactly what fits you and if the reason is skeletal or just teeth alignment . (Please give me solution )

You won't get an accurate solution here, go to an orthodontist, if your case isnt that severe and your not old enough, elastics or twin blocks might save you

Braces wont recess you as long as you dont extract thats retarded, but if youre old enough to be on here chances are your only fix will be surgery

Even with kids braces often dont correct the skeletal issue, only the dental issue, if you have a jaw problem instead of a teeth problem you probably need surgery

Depends on your age, really.
Below 15 years of age just get a palette expander.
Else Bimax.

Braces fix your bite, if anything.
By moving just your teeth, your maxilla barely moves.
I myself had Expander + Braces + Invisalign.
For Invisalign they showed me the expectations, and my teeth were closer to eachother. They explained though, that the maxilla isn’t influenced at all.
