Here we see a common male/female problem. The male has interests the female will never have, the male desires his partner to share the interest but it will simply never happen and will only ever be faked. He doesn't understand how her female mind works. She sees him as a resource gatherer: anything that interferes with that is to be opposed. If any of his interests achieves resources, she will be genuinely glad about the interest (without any understanding of it) and never oppose it.
He needs to accept what she is and stop trying to include her in his male interests. She needs to accept that he has interests that she doesn't like or understand and she should respect his higher abilities. The therapist must stress upon this final point and make her submit to the fact that he is her mental superior.
No therapist will follow this course, which is why they all suck, and I am the world's best.
