What I understand is that he regrets jaw surgery for two reasons: 1)as he says, his jaws are asymmetrical so it was botched surgery and 2)as he doesn't say but I deduce, he was a retard who didn't know what to expect of surgery and got underwhelming results

Literally everything about this post screams fake. First of all, he says he had an underbite, then describes the surgery and how it moved his lower jaw forward. Anyone with any knowledge of malocclusion can realize that an underbite patient already has a mandible that is too far forward in relation to the maxilla, so his treatment already doesn’t make any sense given the context. Also: “they broke my lower jaw in 5 places... and moved it forward”

JFL. 5 places? Someone please go ahead and tell me which lower jaw surgery involves FIVE cuts? I personally had BSSO myself, and there’s only one cut on each side of the mandible. He also described his recovery diet, and the first staple he listed is BEER? Give me a fucking break, there’s absolutely zero chance you’d want to drink alcohol while recovering from jaw surgery; your mouth is literally an open wound for a few weeks. Not only would it hurt like hell but it would slow the healing process and has no nutritional value. No doctor would allow this either.

I also find the loose equivalency drawn between orthognathic surgery and plastic surgery to be highly suspicious and inaccurate. Most people who have orthognathic surgery are people with very real functional issues related to chewing, breathing, etc. This guy even says he had an underbite, but that he didn’t need surgery? WHAT??? If you had a fucking deformed jaw then you absolutely did need the surgery. This post makes no sense at all, I’m 99% convinced it’s fake
