"I jumped from 5 stories thinking for sure that would end it all. A bystander called 911 when they saw me and when I arrived to the hospital doctors were sure I was going to die.

I broke my back in 9 places, my hip, my right elbow, my ribs, both legs, and pelvis fractures.

My internal organs were bleeding - my liver was cut clean in half. I needed numerous blood transfusions.

They took over 10,000 scans & x-rays of me.

They said if I didn’t die, I would be fully paralyzed and wouldn’t even be able to speak.

Thankfully I’m not paralyzed, but I can’t release my urine. I can’t feel when I have a bowel movement. The fingers in my arm with the broken elbow are numb. My feet are completely numb.

The doctors said my right foot was so badly broken they were thinking of amputating it.

Right now it has an external fixator on it. They are going to try to fix it. But there is a real possibility I will never walk again.

There’s a very real possibility I will be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life, or at least always need a wheelchair in some capacity.

If I could turn back the clock I would. I would have chosen not to jump. I went from being a healthy person to disabled in a matter of seconds.

Suicide attempts are not always final, they could end up leaving you severely disabled and in a worse position than before.

There’s nothing I can do now, but I will deal with the consequences of this attempt for the rest of my life."
