It is not death that most are afraid of.
It is getting to the end of life, only to realize you never truly lived.

Elders who are facing death and nearing their last breath, when asked about their biggest regrets in life, nearly all of them will express that they regret not the things they did, but rather the things they didn't do.

Reflect on the risks you never took and the dreams that you never pursued.
You wouldn’t want your last words to be “If only I had...” would you?

everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

Soul crushing video, I recommend you watch:

We often miss the present because we are always looking forward to happiness in the future, but that may never come.

The past haunts us, reminding us of all those missed opportunities and all those experiences we will never get to have.

Living in the past leads to depression.
Living in the future brings anxiety.
To find joy, we need to focus on the present and create meaningful memories right now.

Death is something we all share, we will all eventually die but that doesn't make life meaningless. A fulfilling life is measured by the memories we create and the moments we cherish. Those are what will comfort us in our final moments.

It’s the things we don’t do that leave us feeling empty. Don’t think you can just put things off for later; some experiences are meant for specific times in our lives.

Being young is a unique opportunity filled with excitement and the chance to explore new things. It’s the time when you don’t have to worry about the stress of the adult world (mortgage, car payments, child, taxes, etc) allowing us to truly enjoy life.
Teen love is special. Missing out on it means you’ll never fully experience that unique bond. No love in adulthood can match the intensity of young love. As we get older, we lose some of that eagerness and excitement that comes naturally in our youth.

“ The one regret from high school that I still think about all these years later ”

Embarrassment only lasts a moment, regret lasts forever

The regret from what you didn’t do is truly brutal. You can only imagine how overwhelmingly awful it must feel to be left wondering how different or better your life could’ve turned out to be if only you took that risk. However, you didn’t because of fear. Now it’s gone, and you can’t do anything at all to fill this permanent empty void in your soul.
Don’t let doubt or fear be the thief that steals your dreams.

Time is so cruel and unforgiving; waste it, and you’ll never get it back. It can leave you with this empty hole for the rest of your days, no matter how much you try to get rid of it.

It’s so sad to see all your peers so successful with their partners, enjoying their lives. Every moment that you aren’t doing the same shit is another moment you lose and miss out on, forever. It makes me want to just fucking throw up, dude. More brutal when you’re subhuman and can’t do anything to change your shitty life even if you wanted to.

Don’t let the bullshit of fear hold you back from truly living; it’s the regrets of what we didn’t fucking do that cut the deepest. Embrace every moment, chase those wild dreams, and make memories that matter, because when your time is up, it’s not death you should fear, but the gut-wrenching realization that you let your life slip away unfulfilled.
